At Ultrasound Intake
PATIENT PREP & EXAM
If your patient is being seen as an inpatient, a brief exam with our staff veterinarian will be performed. After that, the patient will be prepped for the US exam (shaved and sedated, if needed) and the US will be performed.
If your patient is being seen as an outpatient, the patient will not be required to have an exam with our on-staff veterinarian unless sedation or significant medical concerns arise.
After The Ultrasound
REPORT & CONTINUATION OF CARE
If your patient was seen as an inpatient, our staff will provide you with the report once it is available. You can then decide if you would like the patient transferred back to your practice for continuation of care or if you would like us to continue with the case.
If your patient was seen as an outpatient, after the ultrasound the patient will be returned to the client. Once the report is back, it will be forwarded to your email for client/patient follow-up.
